On Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 5:15pm, Pop! Downtown Wilson will have a guided artist tour of its storefront installations. The tour will start at 5:15 at Womble’s Hardware at 224 Tarboro and end at 109 Goldsboro at “The Beer Store.” Music and awards to follow at the “Beats and Eats” Event at Imagination Station at 6:00pm. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Pop! Downtown Wilson features eight North Carolina artists working with the theme of Innovation. We courage you to visit each of the storefronts in downtown to see how the artists have created spectacular pieces in the windows of local businesses. The locations are artists are as follows:

Pop! Downtown Wilson is part of Open Art Society, a project founded by Jessica Moore in Durham, NC. Its mission is to work with artists to produce art everywhere for everyone. Pop! Downtown Wilson is supported by the Mary Duke Biddle Foundation and produced in collaboration with the City of Wilson Planning & Community Revitalization Department.

Previous series in the project include Pop! Downtown Siler City, Pop! Downtown Greensboro, and two storefront projects in Fuquay-Varina.
